| SSC CGL 2026 signature | 10 KB – 20 KB formats: JPG, JPEG SSC notice of the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2026 (21.05.2026), para 9.6: scanned signature in JPEG/JPG, 10 to 20 KB, image about 6.0 cm wide × 2.0 cm high (an annexure of the same notice says about 4.0 cm × 2.0 cm). How it works
- Choose a photo — JPG, PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC.
- Adjust the crop frame if the target needs a fixed shape.
- The tool searches for the best quality that fits the size and pixel requirements.
- Download the result. Location and camera data (EXIF) are removed.
Didn’t fit? What to do
- Sign on plain white paper and crop close to the ink: SSC rejects blurred or miniature signatures (unless you applied through Aadhaar authentication).
- The frame is 3:1, the "about 6.0 cm × 2.0 cm" of the main instructions. An annexure of the same notice says about 4.0 cm × 2.0 cm; both are approximate, and no pixel size is given.
- Photograph the paper in even light. Grey shadows around the ink make a small signature look dirty.
- If the file comes out below 10 KB, the tool adds filler bytes inside the JPEG; the signature itself looks the same.
Frequently asked questions
What is the SSC signature size?
The SSC CGL 2026 and CHSL 2026 notices ask for a scanned signature in JPEG/JPG of 10 KB to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high.
What is the SSC photo size in KB?
In the 2026 CGL and CHSL notices there is no photo file to upload: the application form captures your photo live (you sit in front of the camera when prompted). Capturing an existing photograph instead of yourself gets the application rejected, unless it was submitted through Aadhaar authentication.
What pixel size should the SSC signature have?
The notices give none, only the size in centimetres. Keep the 3:1 shape and the 10–20 KB file size.
Do these rules change every year?
They can. These figures are from the 2026 notices; check the notice of your exam.
