Didn’t fit? What to do
- Check pixels, not only kB: the DV entry photo must be 600×600 pixels and square.
- Save as JPEG (.jpg). Other formats are not accepted.
- Scanning a printed photo? It must be 2×2 inches scanned at 300 pixels per inch before resizing.
- Use a recent photo (last six months) on a plain white or off-white background, without eyeglasses.

What are the DV lottery photo requirements?

Can I reuse an old photo?
No. The instructions ask for a photo taken within the last six months; an older photo can disqualify the entry.
Can I wear glasses in the photo?
No. The DV instructions say not to wear eyeglasses. Hearing devices worn normally are allowed.
Can I use a photo copied from my driver’s license?
No. Photos copied or scanned from driver’s licenses or other official documents are not acceptable.
